The Kit Includes 14 ct. Riviera Aqua Aida, beads, floss, two needles(a stitching needle and a finer one, which is the beading needle), and a chart. The Finished Size is 5"x 5". Laurel Burch designed it.

While we still have kits in stock with Perforated Paper, newer Mill Hill kits are now being made with Perforated PVC. We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:

1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.

2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.

3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.

All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.

I adore this kit, and it included almost everything I needed to complete it. Except the beading needle wasn't skinny enough to let the petite beads slide over it all the way, so I am left with no way to attach the beads. The beading needle that was supplied with this kit had an eye too small to accept a single strand of floss, like it was supposed to. So now I have two of these kits with no way to finish them. I did a search on this site for a smaller sized beading needle and was not happy with the results, so I had to purchase additional beading needles at Herrschner's site. If the kit had been completed correctly, I would have given this kit 5 stars.

This kit contains Aida instead of linen. I love this kit, with its bright colors and the choice of fabric. It's so pretty and colorful! I keep getting compliments on it.
