While we still have kits in stock with Perforated Paper, newer Mill Hill kits are now being made with Perforated PVC. We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:
1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.
2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.
3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.
All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.

I have loved pandas since I was a child. My one son also loves pandas so this kit was a no brainer for me. I have done several Halloween and Winter/Christmas mill hill kits and love them. I am now adding Easter/Spring to my collection. I like to do them in-between longer projects so that I get the satisfaction of finishing something quickly rather than in months or years.

I love these kits. This will be the 12th Christmas kit I have done this fall. They are a lot of fun to do. My granddaughter collects pandas and making it into a ornament.

Fun to do, cute, gray threads very close in color and a little hard to decide on which is which, but it turned out perfect ! Love bears!
