Kit includes beads, treasures, perforated paper/pvc, magnet, floss, needles, chart and instructions. Size is 2.5" x 2.5".
While we still have kits in stock with Perforated Paper, newer Mill Hill kits are now being made with Perforated PVC. We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:
1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.
2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.
3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.
All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.

The owl is very realistic and looks so much better in person than he does finished which is true of all the Mill Hill kits. This guy’s tummy has a lot of texture between the beads and Smyrna crosses (easy to do). His face is very detailed too. I think I’ll keep him. 😊
