While we still have kits in stock with Perforated Paper, newer Mill Hill kits are now being made with Perforated PVC. We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:
1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.
2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.
3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.
All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.

from United States on 03/29/2018 - Missing beads This kit was supposed to have come with four different colors of seed beads but I only received 3 colors. In this particular kit the beads are in the same color family so it's hard to define the missing item. There is no telephone number to explain the problem. Email is slow getting a response. Getting very frustrated. I did complete the Wisteria and the Willow ornaments and they came out beautiful.
