While we still have kits in stock with Perforated Paper, newer Mill Hill kits are now being made with Perforated PVC. We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:
1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.
2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.
3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.
All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.

Fun project, second one done in same pattern which will be a gift. Framed mine in the matte black, gift one is in matte blue. Excellent quality as always from 123stitch.

Havent been stitching much lately but this one looked different. Im about half finished and really are having a great time stitching. I may not do all the back stitching tho!

Im a hippie at heart, although I was born a generation too late. But this pattern is so beautiful and well designed that it will look lovely in my home. Anyone who loves celestial design or is a bit free-spirited will absolutely adore this kit!
