Celtic Snow is the fourth in the seasonal Celtic designs, and has been a long time coming. 4 years on the drawing board before I finally decided I liked it, much to the dismay of my mother! The colours are meant to evoke the feeling of a snowy winter night, the moonlight glinting off freshly fallen snow.
Pattern is stitched on 36 ct Midnight Tryst linen from Hand Dyed Fabrics by Stephanie using Dinky Dyes or DMC threads using Delica beads (Not listed: DBS051, DBS222, DBS543) with Mill Hill bead conversion. Stitch count is 209 x 209
Model stitched over 2 threads on 32 Ct. fabric of your choice with Dinky Dyes silk floss and Kreinik #4 Braid. Stitch Count: 98x98. Finished size: 7"x7".
Also requires beads: size 15 silver lined light topaz, 3x7mm lava red storm duo bead, size 15 silver lined red, 4mm bicone Swarvoski in fern, topaz and siam.
Model stitched over 2 threads on 32 Ct. Baby Pink Belfast linen with DMC floss, DMC #8 Pearl Cotton, Weeks Dye Works floss and Kreinik #4 Braid. Stitch Count: 93H x 93W. Finished size: 5/7" x 5 7/8". Comes with amethyst snowflake, ice blossom, crystal roses, snowflowers and queen's snowflake.
