Charlotte Sweet wrought a very pretty sampler in hues of blues, browns, greens and teal. The trees and basket add to the charm of the flowery border.
The sampler chart includes a very detailed family ancestry. Charlotte's family is mentioned in the "Re-Union of the Sons and Daughters of the old Town of Pompey" (history of the town, reminiscences and biographical sketches of its early inhabitants) Meeting on June 29, 1871 by the publication committee.
