The Golden Sampler is a gorgeous piece dating back to 1845 when it was stitched by Elizabeth Ann Bayley, age 8. The piece uses brown, gold, and green tones throughout and features a small landscape, beautiful banding, sweet verses, and a gorgeous border. I found this piece so charming; I created a smaller adaptation featuring some of my favorite parts of the larger sampler. I hope you stitch and enjoy whichever piece you like most!

Stitched on any yellow or green under toned piece of fabric using DMC floss. The stitch count is 269 x 359 and the finished size is 13.45" x 17.95" on 40 count.
