This pattern includes instructions for making an 80" x 80" quilt featuring nine 24" x 24" star "systems" blocks. All fabric is rotary cut and sewn together using conventional patchwork piecing. Please refer to the pattern back for materials requirements.

Star Systems includes instructions for using scraps from the quilt top to make a pieced quilt back. Making the pieced back will use fabric that might otherwise be discarded, while are reducing the amount of backing fabric yardage you will need.

Making a Star Systems quilt involves a lot of pieces. The pattern will walk you through the process of sewing them with both diagrams and written instructions for each step.
