The instructions wanted me to use a piece of braid 45" long so the entire design in the middle could be stitched with one piece of thread. I never worked with something that long before. I was happy that it was easy to manipulate and my piece turned out stunning. I plan to make several more of the same design using different colored backgrounds and braids.
