from United States on 02/07/2021 - Sweet Beginner's Project I chose this as one of my first cross-stitch projects, in order to learn the craft. It was enjoyable. I actually decided to leave off the snow flakes, which require good french knot skills--something I don't yet have. In addition, I thought that the sparrow, alone, was a very sweet image. The project came out well and looks great in a small, rustic wood frame.
from United States on 01/31/2020 i loved working on this design. All of the stitches were half crosses and I made a mistake and ran out of one of the colors. I emailed the company and they send me replacement floss.
They also sent me a catalog. Great service. I am anxious to do more of their designs.

from United States on 02/08/2018 - Simple Pattern - Beautifully Detailed Results This pattern of mostly half cross stitches works up rather quickly. Both the wool-blend floss and selected colors exquisitely combine to make a true likeness of this sweet little creature. To me, each stitch well done and placed with even tension is important in order to capture an end result that is almost life-like and capable of bringing an emotional response. One area of attention had to do with the color white. I did the white Snow Flakes French Knots with two twists around the needle - that seemed to be sufficient however, it I nearly ran out of white. The other colors in the kit were sufficient. I have ordered more floss of this nature so that I can make more sweet little Sparrows! Kudos to the designer!

This kit contains linen, thread, ribbon, and little bird charm to finish this wonderful antique looking pinkeep. I was thinking instead of using the stitched back you could make two pinkeeps , using the back as the second pinkeep. All you would have to do is provide your own backing fabric.
