Equalizer is a striking modern quilt that mimics sound bars moving with lively colors. It is an easy quilt that goes together quickly and is appropriate for beginners. This 76" x 85" (double/full comforter size) quilt uses a precut layer cake of print fabrics (10" squares) and solid colors of yardage fabric. You can also use a Jelly Roll precut for the strips.
This image uses "Dear Mum" prints from Robin Pickens for Moda but the pattern can be made with any mix of the maker's choice. You need a layer cake, 1/8 or 1/4 yard cuts of a range of 10 colors and 5 yards for background. The binding uses 3/4 yards of fabric. The pattern diagrams out all the rows in color or in gray-scale to envision your own fabrics.
