The verse on this sampler is from "O Christmas Tree" a German Christmas song written in 1824 by Ernst Anschutz. This song was based off a 16th century Silesian Folksong by Melchior Franck called Ach Tannenbaum. Third in the series of samplers with lots of fun stitches.
Pattern is stitched on 36 ct Meadow Rue from Lakeside Linens using Gentle Arts threads. Stitch count is 183 x 200. Finished size is 10.2" x 11.1".

Note from the designer: It started with the request to teach at Shepherd's Bush and the theme was garden. My brain went to our love of samplers and flowers. I envisioned alphabets dancing in the garden. There will be one for each season for a total of four different charts.
