This is my go to whenever I’m working on linen. The smaller, the thread count of the fabric, the more vital this needle becomes.

Admittedly the needles were nice enough at first, but in less than 2 weeks the ball tips had broken off and they were sharper than your typical embroidery needles. I personally won’t get them again. I’ll use them if I have them but I didn’t find their value worth their cost. I was disappointed considering all the raving reviews I’d seen for them.

Where have these been all my cross stitching years....I absolutely love them...they do not split the linen squares, they just glide through the fabric...I am trying to build a stash of these...5 stars in not enough...they are a 10

I found these ball tip needles after I had an incident with my kitten. She grabbed my needle when I stepped away from my stitching and it went into her mouth and moved down to her neck. She ended up having surgery to remove it. After that no more sharp needles for me. Not to mention not getting jabbed when stitching is a major plus.

These needles are rather expensive for what they are, but they’re smooth and well made. I was so excited to try them that I failed to notice they’re a size 28, which means they’re super small for cross stitching. That was my mistake though. I will use them with one strand of floss when I work on my full-coverage projects.

I have quilted, appliqued and now back to my roots of cross stitch! I love this needle the "rounded" roller ball tip saves wear and tear on my fingers. My much older eyes now, can see to thread the size 28, yet small enough to feel good in my fingers.

Love these. Great needles for cotton floss.I wish they made them in a smaller size for 40 count fabric, with a smaller eye for silk floss.

This Needle is hard to thread as the eye is small but it glides thru. The point is sharper than I would have tbought. It is longer than my 28 Piecemaker so I prefer Piecemaker as I stitch in hand.

In order to get more done I have switched over to the sewing method of stitching and these needles are perfect for stitching on top and they are sturdy and don't bend they last forever or at least until I loose them

I had tried the sewing method several times in the past but my stitches were never good and I was constantly undoing them because I had 3 strands or 1 instead of 2 but these ball tip needles totally solved that problem its hard to describe why but that smooth ball tip just pops up in the hole and glides the needles through like "butter"! I love these needles if they came in a petite they would be the world's most perfect cross-stitch needles

The ball tip on these needle makes them glide through the fabric. They don't split the fabric. They slide right into the holes. They are a little pricey for needles but they are well worth the cost.

Loved it. Worth it on very small squares…. Or high thread count to be technical…. BUT, this needle breaks super easy. That part was frustrating. Still ordered more for The next time I have a super small squares.

These needles are great - they feel “firm†in my hand and I find that they last longer than other brands I’ve used. I love these for fabric up to 35 count. For fabric with a higher count, I feel that they’re not quite as precise as a smaller needle. Happy with my purchase!

The ball point finds and slips through the center of loaded holes beautifully every time. I also love the easy to thread slightly rounded eye. I’ve stocked up on #28. I love using them on perforated paper with 3 strands too. You won’t mind the cost once you’ve tried them.

I bought size 28 needles to see if they are helpful on 40 ct linen instead of the normal size 28 needles I use. Answer is Yes. I found a significant difference with the small holes between the linen threads, I could actually feel the tip go into the hole. I plan to use them on all linens with a tight weave. Also, the metal feels stronger than the 28 petite John James brand that I prefer stitching with.

I hesitated for sometime before finally adding these needles to my order. I mean, $7.49 won't break the bank but that's a lot for 2 needles. But I went ahead and I'm really happy I did. Its almost like they glide through the hole. Love them! Plan on ordering in sizes 24 and 26 also. AND..123's price is over $3 less than Amazon! Can't beat that!

Nothing to do with 123. Not please with needles, as plating began rubbing off after a week. Otherwise, I would have really liked them.

I bought these needles because I was graduating myself from stitching on Aida to Linen and Evenweave. Perfect for those fabrics, like someone else said the ball seems to find the hole on it's own. I don't feel it's stretching it out. I don't have any trouble anchoring the tails under stitches on the back. Highly recommend and I'm tough to impress.

I needed to grid a piece of fabric for a large complex cross stitch and these needles are a great help in doing that. I originally got them to cross stitch with, but haven't tried them out for that yet.

Pricey, but absolutely terrific needles for stitching on linen. Enters the holes cleanly and easily. I also have noticed that I never have sore finger tips when using them. I'm addicted to these needles.

These ball tipped needles do nudge themselves nicely between the threads, even on 40 count, but they are very hard to anchor in the stitches on the back of the work. If you dont mind changing needles for that, they are very smooth.
