from Canada on 10/04/2023 - Love the pattern Started for Sampler September. I will change a few things on the chart. The verse is lovely
from United States on 03/10/2021 - Another Gem from The Drawn Thread This wonderful quote by Longfellow is from a longer poem, "Morituri Salutamus," which he wrote for the 50th anniversary of the class of 1825 at Bowdoin College. It exhorts us to work and dream, even when old, because life always brings opportunity. The chart is absolutely beautiful. I've got it all kitted up with 32ct stone gray lugana and the called-for silk threads and can hardly wait to start!
from United States on 11/06/2017 - Simply beautiful! I can't decide it I'll stitch this to give it away or keep it for myself. I love the houses and the stars. Wow!
from United States on 03/22/2017 - beautiful design I love this pattern, but there are no DMC conversion charts so I doubt I will be stitching it any time soon. This chart is done on linen but I can usually stitch things like this on 14 count, but not this one. The stars in the pattern really work best if you can stitch them on linen since they are a speciality stitch that doesn't work well on 14 count. I love the patterns from The Drawn Thread, but I wish they worked better for an even weave fabric such as 14 count. I wish the description would tell if a pattern is suitable for other fabrics besides the one listed.
