I do Historic stitchery and ordered Simply Wool for my last project. This is a lovely fine wool that stitches well when doing a Laid and couching project Bayeaux Stitch. Drawbacks - some breakage occurs when there is fraying from using too long of threads or where the thread has unspun. These are purposely died to give an aged, variegated look, it is subtle, but definitely there and definitely great for those wanting that vintage look.
