I love Christmas carols, and Silent Night is one of my all-time favorites. Something about the song has always evoked a scene in my imagination of a cabin in the snow-covered mountains surrounded by woods, and enveloped in silence. The air is crisp and clean, the stars are twinkling in the deep night sky, and all the world is at peace. As you stitch this little piece, my hope for you is to enter into that scene, breath deep, and lean into the peace.
The model was stitched on 40 count using the called for DMC thread. (This pattern can also be stitched on Aida cloth.) It is finished as a pin pillow, but would also look beautiful in a simple frame. Stitch Count: 95w X 89h. Finished size is 4.75 in wide X 4.45 in high.
