While the deion states that the variegation is subtle, I tried stitching with it for quite a while and found no real variegated look. It was just a kind of muddy navy even though I stitched each stitch individually. I really like Weeks Dye Works threads but this one was really disappointingly mediocre.

The picture is fairly accurate. It is very pretty, not a harsh navy. I used this in Winter Quakers by Rosewood Manor. I had difficulty finding a variegated blue that would show up well on the blue of Dwarf Crystal Cashel linen.
