It gives a more subtle appearance to the fine stitching on applique than some of the heavier fibers like pearl cotton.

It looks pretty much like the photo but mine is a little more drab with no light green. Difficult to describe.Has a lot of variegation. Called for color to outline the bucket, in Teresa Kogut’s Buckethead pattern.
