Shalom is the Hebrew word for "peace" and is often used in greeting for both a hello and goodbye. Both charts - the English version and the Hebrew version - are included.
At first glance, perhaps what you see in this picture is the word "shalom" with some geometrical design surrounding the word. Take another look. That geometrical design is not random at all - it is the letters of the word rotated around in a circle.
