Three openings across this 3"x10" tool make it easy to count your fabric. Has rulers for both inches and centimeters, so if you know you have 50 stitches, you can tell how many inches that will be when stitched on different counts of fabric just by looking at your gauge. Made of durable white plastic and printed with blue.

How many times have you put fabric back into the stash drawer with no tag and forgot the count? This is a must have to sort out quickly what count the fabric really is.

This tool does exactly what I want it to: now when I have a piece of fabric I don’t have to painstakingly count stitches anymore to find out the size of my fabric for cross stitching. With this tool I can quickly see if a piece of fabric I have is large enough for a given design I want to cross stitch. For example, I want to stitch a design that covers 30x50 stitches, I just hold this up to my fabric and I can quickly see if the fabric scrap is large enough. The tool covers from 11 count to 40 count fabric. I don’t know what the negative reviewers are talking about (maybe they thought they would use this while actually stitching?).

I love this tool! It has helped me determine fabric size on my most recent project and worked out perfect! I am glad I was able to find this online as I wasn't able to find in local fabric/craft/hobby stores.

I was hoping this ruler would help me determine fabric thread counts in a reliable way, with a degree of confidence, and without straining my poor old eyes. Unfortunately, I can't see pun intended the advantage in counting teeny lines on a ruler versus tiny threads on a piece of fabric. No directions come with it, but if you Google this ruler, you will get a lot of directions from the maker, Yarn Tree. However, four years plus of college did nothing to help me understand these directions. I am rather lacking in common sense, though. I am grateful that this was an inexpensive item, and it IS a ruler, and it DOES measure like a regular ruler. If I need to try to determine whether a piece of mystery fabric is really 32 or 36 count or 40 count, I will dig out my two straight pins, poke one through the fabric next to a thread starting point and push the pin through the wood of my crappy dining table, slip a ruler any kind under the fabric next to the pin that I've stuck into my table, and use the other straight pin to tick off how many threads I get by the time I'm reached a quarter inch, and multiply that number by 4. How simple is that? Ha, ha.

My old ruler broke and this one is so much better with so many fabric sizes listed. A must for those serious stitchers. 123Stitch was the only place I could find it too. Thank you 123Stitch!

Gauge is fine. However, it is too big for an 8x11 page and you should think about making a smaller one to fit that size page.

Stiches counted, no markings for half. I used for 28 count fabric and 14 not marked on ruler. Still have to count individual marks on ruler.

Received the measuring ruler promptly, and used it today. don't know how I got along these many years without it....My Husband surprised me by ordering it from you, as he found me counting threads on the linen on my recent project......Martha Schafer
