Fabri-Care, 8 Ounce Jar. Now you can use the same cleaning formula used by museums to clean priceless textile works. FabriCare, containing 100% Orvus, is a safe and effective cleaner without the oils, perfumes, and additives found in household detergents (which can leave an oily residue that will attract dirt). Prewashing fabrics and threads with FabriCare before stitching will dramatically reduce the risk of colors bleeding. For cross stitch, crewel, quilting, and most types of needlework. Not recommended for needlepoint (water will remove the sizing in the canvas). Use 1 tablespoon per 1 gallon of water. Environmentally safe. Contains no phosphates.

I always wash my counted cross-stitch pieces when I am done stitching them, and have used FabriCare for years. It is made specifically for needlework and I have never had an issue with colored fabrics or threads bleeding or fading after washing. Very easy to use, rinses out easily, and NO PERFUMES OR DYES!

After completing a project that took a few years, it needed to be cleaned desperately (lots of cats). So glad this cleaner exits. My stitching looks great and now ready to be framed.

This product worked very well and was very easy to use.
I am very glad it was in a separate plastic bag though as the lid came loose in the post and about 1/4 of the product was swimming in the plastic. If my charts had not also been sealed in a ziplock bag they would all have been ruined. Would suggest that the product lid be better sealed to prevent damage in transit.

I bought this cleaning solution because I was looking for a product that I could trust washing my cross stitch projects in. I am beyond pleased with the results! Definitely will be using this for cleaning my projects from now on!!

The top of the jar wasn't closed properly and leaked during shipping. Luckily someone had double bagged it so it didn't affect my other items. I did wash 2 projects with it already and I like it better than what I was using before.
