The original sampler, made in England in 1848, was stitched with cross, counted satin, petit point, and eyelet stitches on an extremely fine glazed linen of approximately fifty threads per inch.
This amazing, unprecedented English sampler illustrates so many unique and bold elements of design, stitched in a balanced way inside a four-sided strawberry border. In all my decades of study I've never seen an antique sampler with quite this much bizarre personality.
Note from the designer: Number Eight features our first house, a cute, little 1940s brick cape cod. I guess I inherited a little bit of my grandparents green thumb, because we totally transformed the house with our gardens.

All is Bright is an original cross stitch pattern from Whilst Iris Naps Designs that can be made into a drum finish. The pattern comes in 2 design sizes and the alternative "smaller" version may suit a number of other finishing options.
The pattern stitch count is 266 x 266 and contains some over 1 in her name, date and the year which would make it unsuitable for stitching on Aida without adaptation. There are also some satin stitches and a few half stitches but the sampler is predominantly cross stitch over 2.
