I've selected my favorite parts of an antique sampler in my collection and combined them to create this smaller adaptation. My favorite part is that thick border at the bottom!

This pattern was stitched on 36 ct Dead Sea Scroll by Seraphim Fabrics. Finished Size: 7.75" x 7.75" and Stitch Count: 140 x 140. This piece was stitched with silk threads, introducing the stitcher also to some Silk Lame by Rainbow Gallery.
This pattern was stitched on 40 ct. Old Stationary by Seraphim Fabrics. This piece is part of a greater series, the first being Joy Be Thine, now this one and one still in teaching circulation Stitches Be Sweet, there will be another teaching piece in this set called Count Be Correct with a short saying with it like the others. Finished Size 8 x 9 3/4" on 40 ct Stitch Count 163 x 195.
Note from designer "I have known since I started this Cottage series that my Summer design, the third in the series, would be based on beach cottages. The pretty blues and turquoises make me think of the Gulf of Mexico and the bright coral colors are the perfect contrast!"

Fall Cottages brings us to the last Cottage in this series and uses the warm browns and golds of late autumn, when the bright colors are almost gone. The squirrels are racing to fill up their bellies and nests with acorns and other goodies to help them get through the winter.
