I love the deep colors of this design, which I do associate with autumn. And I took a bit of artistic license with the flamingo - juvenile flamingos are white and they've always felt a bit "spooky" to me. In the Netherlands, autumn is usually wet and gloomy, and it is only in December that we celebrate Sinterklaas and Christmas. Now that Halloween is also celebrated here, autumn has suddenly become a lot more fun and we have cheerful October, November and December months.
