I've selected some of the most memorable and meaningful phrases from our nation's founding document to be featured in this design. Since it is to commemorate the 250th anniversary of this world-changing piece of paper, I don't think my cousin Tom would mind.
Design stitch count is 77w x 77h, finished size approximately 4.25" x 4.25" on 18ct. fabric. Our model was stitched on 18ct. white Anne cloth Stoney Creek prefinished pillow over 1 square using DMC thread. It is embellished with 1 small gold snowflake Glass Treasure. It is also adorned with 7 rich red antique seed beads and 5 3mm faux pearls.
This little sampler is inspired by an antique in our collection that was stitched in 1769 by little Miss Ann Duchemin and a poem by Emily Dickinson.
