Note from the Designer: This was my first time working with the Valdani 6-strand embroidery floss and I love the way it shows off the subtle variegation in the birds and flowers. The design features several colors of coneflower and a trio of songbirds who enjoy them.
For the summer season, the "trunk town" is hopping. Many of the tree cavities that a woodpecker creates are utilized by other animals throughout the year. This shows some of these creatures in a fun format, along with native plants and vines.
Here is a garden you can enjoy all year round! The inspiration for this design comes from some of the wonderful flowers (and a butterfly) native to Florida.
Inspired by my love of libraries, this design features an open book that is sprouting flowers and mushrooms with birds and a butterfly floating above. It reads: "the very existence of libraries affords the best evidence that we may yet have hope for the future of humanity".

This one was inspired by the idea of a woven crown of daisies. It's a fairly quick stitch, and I've combined many different types of flower designs (because there are so many wonderful varieties of daisies) into an abundance of floral fun.
I love the idea of featuring cute animals as gingerbread cookies for the holiday season. I wanted to create a gingerbread cookie in the shape of a jumping bunny. Gingerbread is made with honey and all I wanted to do was create a cute jumping gingerbread honey bunny.
