This is the latest of my "Tudor Menagerie" series. The ermine is perfect for winter, as it shows off its lovely snowy fur. I've chosen a border of twined winter greenery, pinecones and berries to complement the design.

This year, in particular, my heart does go out with longing for the spring, and renewal, and joy. So this design celebrate a favorite flower (lily of the valley), and a bird with a softly variegated border.

For this designer: The latest in the "Scrapbook" collection with Lindy Stitches, this features our household pets enjoying the holiday season! And although I've shown the bunny enjoying a carrot, I've learned that they think bananas are the ultimate treat.
Note from the designer: This was inspired by the traditional sampler motif of the "berry bowl" but I've filled my basket with birds and eggs! The bowl itself is more like a woven nest, to continue the theme (and give stitchers a chance to play with variegated floss).
