Model stitched on 32 count Legacy linen from Picture This Plus using three Weeks Dye Works threads (Raspberry, Shephard's Blue, and Seaweed). Stitch count: 143 x 79 and the finished size is 8.94" x 4.94".

I have sometimes found inspiration for a new cross stitch design when looking at quilt patterns and that was certainly the case when I spotted a 2-toned Mariner's Compass block at a quilt show. This design lends itself to any two colors that appeal to the stitcher.

Inspired by a common Amish quilt pattern and with colors based off of one such quilt in a museum, this cross stitch design can be finished as a miniature quilt, as the model was using a stand from Ackfeld Manufacturing.

Model stitched on 32 count Navy Zweigart linen using 23 DMC threads. Stitch count is 108 x 108. Finished size is 6.75" x 6.75".
