Another great technique to use with your Wedge Star tool. You will construct four patch diamonds using strip piecing, trim, add small wedges, and trim the inside point so you have four perfectly sized diamonds in each star point every time. We love fancy diamonds and bet you do too, so thought we would add them to our Star 60 units. You can make this variation in 17 unit sizes, from 2" up to 18" in 1" increments. If you are making those units into stars, that would be 4" to 36" stars in 2" increments. This technique is a bit of a challenge but what a result!

This is a great, easy to construct, basic unit that we are using more and more as we continue to work with the Star 60 tool. The unit you make with this technique sheet is sized the same way as the Star 60 unit, so if you want your Capped 60 unit to match up with a 5" Star 60 unit, you'd make a 5" Capped 60 unit.
