There are sixteen blocks comprised of flying geese that finish at 2" x 4". The quarter-triangle squares that make up the sashing finish at 4" x 4". A pieced inner border and plain outer border complete the quilt which will measure 76" x 76". The fabric is For You by Brigitte Heitland for Zen Chic.
This pattern uses one layer cake (Kate Spain Aria pictured), 4 yards for backing, 1.5 yards for background, an accent (charcoal in picture) and 2.5 yards for binding.
The fabric requirements are generous - enough to give you flexibility. Or make the quilt a little bit bigger. . . . a nice option if you like to snuggle on the couch with someone.

Maybe you should call me the "Goose Girl". Despite some unfortunate encounters with nasty geese in my formative years, I love geese. As much as I enjoy flocks flying overhead, I'm especially fond of the quilt kind, to the extent that a quilt made entirely with flying geese is not uncharted territory for me.
