I've selected my favorite parts of an antique sampler in my collection and combined them to create this smaller adaptation. My favorite part is that thick border at the bottom!
Pattern is stitched on 36 count Affogato linen by Fiber on a Whim using DMC floss. Stitch Count: 170 wide x 104 high

This sampler brings together two of my favorite themes: stitching and music. It is full of motifs such as thread spools, "loudspeaker" flowers, and hoops with music notes. It reads: "I wanna rock and roll all night and cross stitch every day"

It was stitched with 1 ply of Gloriana silk floss in Iris over two threads stitched on 40 count linen. Stitch count is 97 x 153 and has 5142 cross stitches. Finished size is 4.85" x 7.65".
