You know how much I like diagonals. It was inevitable this would happen someday. This actually started as a stocking, but I figured there would be those who didn't care about stockings but wanted to stitch it as a sampler, so I took the liberty of getting ahead of the request. :)

Inspired by the Father Lee sampler. Includes first three charted ornaments in the series of four releases (three Christmas ornaments each, twelve total). Pattern includes cross-stitch, straight stitch and back stitch.
Model is stitched on 36 ct Zweigart Edinburgh Linen, dark Cobblestone using Soie d'alger. Stitch count is 40 w x 40 h for each pattern.

Jan Hicks creates the design "CRS 1713", an antique sampler from the Saxon region of Germany. The original stitcher is known by the initials CRS.
