This is definitely NOT a German hoop. The one I received had a tag hanging on it that clearly said, "Made in China." The wood is not terrible quality, but looking at the under side of the outer hoop, I am very concerned about the way the hardware is riveted. It is definitely not as high quality as other hoops I have. The outer appearance of the hardware is very deceiving. I do not recommend this item. I need another 4-inch hoop, but I will not buy another one of these.

The German embroidery hoop, is far above some others I have, I enjoy the smaller 4 inch size for much I do, have the 6 inch also. Germans make wonderful items, thanks for having. Jane in Alabama
