I was so excited to get this cross stitch. I have cross stitched for years and was very excited to start this beautiful piece. I am sadly very disappointed. The pattern is black and white, not color coded so it can be difficult to read. Too many colors, I understand this is for detail however with fewer colors it would have added a little ease to this massive undertaking. Almost full pages of the same color, then in the middle of all that same color would be ONE stitch of one other color. The pattern offers for you to use 18ct fabric instead of the recommended 25 ct. If I switched to 18 ct the finished size would be 4ft tall! this is a beautiful design and not for the leisure stitcher. This is for serious stitchers who have patience to spend years working on a piece.
