The original model was stitched on #37 Legacy linen (Corn Tassel). It was stitched in a combination of hand dyed fibers and DMC. DMC equivalents are included. Stitch count: 73w x 78h. Finished sizes: 16ct Aida or 32ct Linen - 4.6" x 4.9",
18ct Aida or 36ct Linen - 4.05" x 4.3",
25ct Linen over two - 5.2" x 5.6",
25ct Linen over one - 2.9" x 3.2".

from Ireland on 11/02/2023 - A Fresh Use for Sampler Motifs It does not immediately occur to us - more's the pity - that Sampler motifs traditionally were to be used beyond that first attempt collection of patterns. They were, however - and this pattern shows just what can be done with them. They should suggest to all stitchers to use these images more broadly. This one is such a fine and useful pattern. I shall certainly use it again and again and try other sampler ideals in different ways.

The stocking was just stitched on 40-Count Thornfield Linen from Needle and Flax using Needlepoint Silks. Stitch count for the stocking is 172 x 447. Finished size is 8 1/2" x 22 1/4". Stitch count for the sampler is 83 x 446. Finished size is 4 1/8" x 22 1/4".
