The Oak & Acorn Tart is a cute small finished in a tart tin, full of autumnal flora and fauna.

Pattern is stitched on 36 count fabric using a variety of thread threads. Trimmed with Lady Dot Creates pom pom in Russet. Stitch Count: 77 x 76. Finished Size: approx 4.3" x 4.2".

This design by Jeanette Douglas Designs features a variety of acorns with hearts and oak leaves above an alphabet sampler.

Model stitched on 40ct Winter Brew by R&R Reproductions using Classic Colorworks, Gentle Arts, and Weeks Dye Works thread. Stitch count: 146w x 156h. Finished Size is 7.3 in wide X 7.8 in high.

Pattern is stitched on 36 ct Legacy from Picture This Plus using Gloriana, Classic Colorworks, Thread Gatherer (Turkey Feathers not listed), and Aur Ver a Soie threads. Fabric cut: 13 1/2 x 16.

This cross stitch pattern from Fairy Wool in the Wood featuring two squirrels sharing acorns!

The model was stitched over 2 threads on 32 Ct. Witch Tina linen by Fairy Wool in the Wood or 32 ct Vintage Country Mocha with DMC and Romy's Floss (Three fairies green, Brown sugar and Cassandra's dream). Stitch Count: 51 x 58. Finished size: 3.64" x 4.14".

Stitched on 36ct "Sea Foam" linen by Weeks Dye Works linen using DMC threads. Stitch count is 80 x 80 and the finished size is 4.44" x 4.44".

The stitch count measures 32 h x 227 w. When stitched with two strands of floss over two fabric threads, the finished design will measure approximately 1.78" h x 12.61" w. Design top of the drum measures 30 h x 40 w. (1.67" h x 2.22" w.)

The oak sleeps in the acorn - I saw this saying recently, and it resonated so much that I knew I had to create a design using it. Using fall colors, which shine on the teal fabric, this design creates a beautiful reminder that we all have unlimited potential inside.

I loved this classic fall design so much that I asked my model stitcher to stitch it in two different colors! The front cover photo (above) is the model in rust using Belle Soie Silk Floss, while the back cover model (below) is a deep dark chocolate color using Threadworx.
