100% linen. A beautiful hand dyed and washable fabric available in a variety of counts and colors. Lakeside linens are available in both "Regular" and "Vintage". The Regular version has minimal shading while the Vintage is more distressed. With the Vintage version there may be color separation due to the different properties of each dye used. As each piece of vintage is unique, the image should only be considered representative of what you will receive.
Please Note: Many fabrics are dyed in batches and made from natural fibers. As a result, color variation can occur between dye lots, counts, and fabric types, even under the same color name. Fabric dyers consider this normal and expected, particularly in vintage or antiqued fabrics, so feel free to contact us if selecting an exact shade is critical to your project.

This is a little less intense then the reg. Pear fabric, the color is great.

Well, I don't think I've ever seen a pear that is the exact color of "Vintage Pear," but if I had to chose, it would be somewhere between a Bosc and a Bartlett. Toss is a little bit of not quite dried hay color greenish yellow, then you'd have it. It's just not the color on the monitor at all. It is not very pale green as shown on my monitor. However, I chose it because it was the suggestion of the designer, Kathy Barrick, for her design, "Painted Wings." It is very harmonious with the DMC flosses suggested, 734, 936, 3822, 436, Ecru, and Black. It IS vintage-y, with subtle, slightly gray tones, which do not dominate at all. I really like the color, but you need to be aware that "Vintage Pear" is nothing like the light minty-green color on the monitor at least on my monitor. The texture is smooth, fairly supple, not at all stiff. It is a quality piece of fabric, to my untrained eye. But, I know what I like, and I love this linen!
