This charming design has a sweet verse. I love the use of white, which is rarely seen in these old samplers. I, also, like that it is symmetrical.

Beautiful pattern. I'm not using the silk threads but using DMC, Weeks Dye Works, and Classic Colorworks. I liked the suggestion of slighting changing the wording as the previous reviewer said. Haven't started on the wording so I have a little more time to think on that. I do photo copy the pattern and work from that so I don't mess up the original pattern. It is beautiful.

This is a beautiful pattern. I'm only giving it 4 stars, because it would have been nicer not to have to tape the four pieces of pattern together myself... typical printer paper 8.5 x 11 was used versus one large sheet of high quality paper. Note some of the recommended floss is labeled as "not colorfast," so I opted for a combination of the Weeks which is colorfast and DMC. Also, I'm going to change the 2nd line to read "Then richer than kings and happier than they" and space out the words "than kings"... as it is, I misread those words as "thankings" at first, which made no sense.
