This is a reproduction of an antique European sampler, circa 1790. Model stitched over 2 threads on 40 Ct. Beige linen with Weeks Dye Works floss, Gentle Art Sampler threads and DMC floss. Stitch Count: 326W x 186H. Finished size: 16 1/4" x 9 1/4".

Model stitched on 28 Ct. Antique Ivory linen with Crescent Colours floss. Stitch Count: 127W x 100H.

Model stitched on 32 Ct. Tin Roof linen using Weeks Dye Works. Stitch Count for Pinkeep: 71W x 71H. Design Size: 4" x 4". Pin Disk: 48W x 32H, 3" x 2". Scissor Fob: 15W x 14H, 1" x 1". Needle Book Front: 35W x 49H and Back: 35W x 49H, 3" x 4". Finishing instructions included.

Model was stitched on Bees Knees, an overdyed linen from Tabbycat Linen, using a palette of nine silks from Au Ver a Soie's range of Soie 100.3. (Conversions for Soie d'Alger and DMC are also included.) Stitch count is 142w x 158h.

A beautiful band sampler fit for royalty in shades of dusty blue and rose silk featuring twin hares, a crown and peacock. The pattern is cross-stitch, satin stitch and Algerian Eye. Finishing instructions are included.

Inspiration for this stocking came from the many antique samplers we have all grown to love. It's the perfect Christmas gift for the sampler lover.
