While we still have kits in stock with Perforated Paper, newer Mill Hill kits are now being made with Perforated PVC. We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:
1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.
2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.
3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.
All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.

I have made this in about 2 days, quick and easy. I've also made the other eggs rabbit,daffodil,tulip. The pictures online don't do them justice.Suggest stitching from the bottom up working across,easier to keep beads in line, neater.

This little beaded Easter Egg is so easy and fun to make. The pictures really don't do it justice. It's much cuter when finished. Once you make one you'll find yourself wanting to make the whole set.

It takes some patience and more time to do these beaded little items, so allow yourself adequate time. The kits come well supplied and with enough instruction. These were going to be for an Easter gift, but now, with social distancing in effect, it may just be for summer. Take care and God bless.

I gave this 4 stars as the all yellow beads on the chick were difficult to keep from getting messy. I decided to cross stitch the yellow around triangle patterns of beads. In my opinion, the little chick is much cuter.
