While we still have kits in stock with Perforated Paper, newer Mill Hill kits are now being made with Perforated PVC. We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:
1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.
2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.
3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.
All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.

I've liked this pattern for a long time and finally bought it. It's good if you don't feel like figuring a lot of things out because there are rows and rows of the same color.

I got the log cabin beaded cross stitch and I like doing these. This one was easy. I liked ordering from here, it was like described, got here fast. They let me know when it shipped. I will be ordering from them again!

My kit was short one color. There were only 2 colors of burgundy included not 3. I was able to use another color from my own supplies, but I was very disappointed. Otherwise kit was good.

I absolutely LOVE Mill Hill kits and I have completed a TON. I was very disappointed with their new button substitution. The button looked VERY cheap. I ended up adding my own embellishment.

The set arrived in good quality and quickly! All components were available! I have wanted to embroider for a long time, but recently it was out of stock, I left my request to the seller about the arrival of this set, and as soon as the set arrived, I was immediately notified about it and now I am the happy owner of this wonderful set!

This is my first mill hill kit. I have been stitching for many years. The only issue I had was with the bead needle. Its hard to thread.

I saw this kit finished by our leader, Linda, at our bi-monthly Sit and Stitch gathering. It is charming. So I ordered one for my sister as a gift once I finish it. The kit came quickly and I easily sorted out the threads and beads. It even came with the two needles needed to complete the project. I am very pleased.

I bought this to make for my mom who is a quilter. Surprisingly, this pattern really does resell the actual pattern of Log Cabin Quilt. It was easier than I thought as well to complete.
