An alternative to evenweave fabrics for cross stitch, beadwork, embroidery and more. Perforated paper is perfect for three dimensional needlework. A great advantage is unlike fabrics it does not ravel. Great for projects where the edges are exposed such as bookmarks, magnets, jewelry, greeting cards, gift tags, embellishments and more.

Perforated PVC is an alternative to evenweave fabrics for cross stitch, beadwork, embroidery and more! Unlike regular fabric, perforated PVC does not ravel, making it perfect for three-dimensional needlework or any project where edges will be exposed, such as bookmarks, magnets, jewelry, greeting cards, gift tags, embellishments and more.

Wichelt's new Perforated PVC is here! We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:

1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.

2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.

3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.

All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.
