Kit Includes: Beads, metal snowflake or brass bell charm, 14ct perforated paper/pvc, needles, floss, chart and instructions. Finished size: 3" x 3.5".

While we still have kits in stock with Perforated Paper, newer Mill Hill kits are now being made with Perforated PVC. We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:

1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.

2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.

3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.

All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.

This is a really cute, nice tree ornament. Doesn't take too long. Would be a good project for a beginning in bead and cross stitch.

Christmas is my favorite holiday so a lot of my counted cross stitch projects relate to that. I love these Santas because everyone loves receiving a hand-made ornament for their tree and these turn out spectacular!! They are quality from start to finish & everything comes in the kit!! Everything!!
