I just love a monochrome stitch! Easy to customize to a wide array of color choices, this piece was a dream to stitch. The colors I've chosen reproduce the original, but stitchers could stitch the design in color on a neutral background, or in a neutral color on a different, highly-colored fabric.

Model stitched 1 over 2 using full crosses over 2 only. Model stitched on 36-ct 'Red Rose' by Number12StitchCo (a soft red - "Aztec Red" by Weeks is similar - just hard to get here!) using 2 skeins of color 1000 by Cascade House Embroidery Silk (you could substitute any white or ecru-colored floss). Stitch count: 112w x 162h.
