I believe the first reviewer who stated that the color can be quite different from various dye lots. The fabric I received does not look like the color of the sample above - there is no gray in it at all. I would characterize it as golden in sunlight and the dye is more nicely distributed. Also, it does not look like the model pictured on the front of Autumn Quakers by Rosewood Manor which seems to have an orange tone. I can see using this for an autumn themed project and will be using it for Autumn Quakers.

This fabric is perfect for the project I've wanted to start, but couldn't find the fabric color I envisioned for the piece. Now that I have it, I will pick the fibers I need to stitch the piece. Thank you for the quick service.

The dye job is lovely. I was hoping this would be shipped/stored in a rolled up form. It arrived folded with creases. I haven't tried to iron it yet.

Several designers have used Doubloon. Most everyone knows by now it is a nice linen to work with. The color can be quiet different from various dye lots, as expected with hand dyed linens.
