I have been in a bit of a stitching slump lately. I haven't stitched using the q-snap yet but I put it on my cloth and it felt cumbersome to use. I also order the 11" for larger projects. I'm hoping that I get my mojo back and give the q-snaps a proper try. I have read very good reviews which is why i wanted to try them.

As a novice cross stitcher I was hesitate to get further into my very large project I erringly picked for my first project as my hands kept cramping and the material getting in the way. I watched a video where they had a zwave stand and a q-snap frame. GAME CHANGER. Will forever be using the Q-Snap frames for all cross stitch and embroidery projects.

I have had and used an 8x8 inch Q Snap frame for years. It is easy to use and doesn't leave a crease like an embroidery hoop. I recently purchased the 6x6 frame, to use with the 8x8 frame, to make it easier for my granddaughters, who are learning to cross stitch bookmarks, to hold the small piece of fabric while stitching. 123Stitch.com is great to order from -- fantastic products and service. I have a larger qsnap and I loved it. Haven't used in a very long time but it was for a large project and I wanted to have access to the full design area, so for that it works great. Was excited to see this in a smaller 6 x 6 size. It's just too bulky and big for the smaller designs in my opinion. Disappointed that it didn't work as I'd hoped. Also disappointed that I can't return it. The package was impossible to open without destroying. Must have used airplane glue on it.

I'd heard about these nifty little motions from a coworker, and decided to try one out. I don't think I'll ever go back to traditional hoops again. This has saved me so, so much time simply by eliminating having to loosen the hoop, adjust the fabric, then re-tighten the hoop over and over. Additionally, some fabric I could not secure in a traditional hoop works perfectly with this. AND it's small enough to fit in a purse, and doesn't leave creases on your fabric (again eliminating the need to loosen your hoop, iron the fabric, adjust the fabric... ugh!).
My only con is that it can be difficult to get the clamps off. A friend pointed out that you can put the Q snap in the microwave for ~30 seconds and they should loosen a little, but I haven't tried it for fear of ruining it.
TL;DR: one of the best cross stitch tools you can buy.

Works great! I have a larger one, and it works fairly well, but tends not to keep the fabric as taut as I would like it. This smaller one does keep the fabric just the way I want it!

The Q snap is the very best hoop for stitching. It’s really not a hoop but square plastic piping. It leaves no marks like hoops and holds the fabric tighter. I have these in three sizes. Been stitching for 50 years (started young 😂) and winter use anything else

I will NEVER go back to using hoops. The Qsnap really holds the cross stitch fabric in place and leaves no unsightly ridge afterwards. It is easier and more comfortable for me to hold than a classic thin hoop. It is a bit of a hinderance if one has to stitch very close the frame as the frame gets in the way, but I think it was a problem because I bought a very small (6"x6") frame. I will certainly buy other sizes in the very near future.

I have used Q snaps before and wanted some smaller ones. It seems these are so very tight. It is difficult to take them off. But I do like them once in place. I just try not to move them too much!

I'm stitching an Artecy Designs mini that isn't wide enough to fit in an 8x8 Q Snap, so the side tension was too loose. It's a full coverage design like a HAED in miniature and I need really good tension to be able to stitch all the confetti. This 6x6 frame is a perfect fit, and I've only had to adjust tension once since putting it on the frame several weeks ago. I love Q Snaps, they keep fabric taut so much better and longer than other frames.

I do use other means of stretching my fabric but the Q frames are excellent. Tension easily adjusted and absolutely no marks left on the linen regardless of how long it is left in the frame.

This little qsnap works just as well as its bigger siblings! It works perfectly for smaller projects with fabric that is 8"x8", so that the clamps get a good "bite" on the fabric. Enjoy using it...

I've tried scroll frames and circular hoops, but I think that the snap frame works the best for me. It's easier to keep the tension in the fabric as I do my cross stitching. I would highly recommend it.

I'm a huge fan of the the Q-Snap, except in this smaller size. The frame seems to overwhelm the project. I'm just not sure that the if the components were smaller it would be strong enough to hold your project without breaking.

I have never tried this particular hoop although I had read good reviews online. Connecticut is known as the "Craft Deprived State", at least by me and I was unable to locate locally. I tried the hoop the minute it arrived and could not believe how taut it kept the fabric. The only issue I had with it was the size and that was totally my fault. I should have ordered the 8". No problem though, I plan to add every size available to my supplies and say goodbye to round hoops forever!
