I’ve stitched a number of Satsuma Street patterns (astrological signs, which have fewer colors). My probably dated technique is to use two markers on black-and-white charts - one to color the stitches I’m working and then another to color over them as done. This doesn’t work so well on SS charts which use symbols on colored background, and was considerably more difficult on this one that has so many more colors. Also (and this refers to the recommended Cosmo threads, which I ordered - even though more expensive than DMC, with which I’m well supplied anyway- because the chart said “the DMC alternatives may be noticeably different” - the threads are very tender, for the want of a better word. They shed and shred, causing waste and a lot of frustration. If I were stitching this again, I’d use DMC. (I know I should review these under the threads themselves, but I didn’t want to write 20-some reviews and figured this was a good place to caution other stitchers.)
