Inspiration for this design came from a vintage velvet tomato pincushion. Somehow that became two squirrels stitching under an acorn "bobbin" tree, an acorn basket and an acorn drum with the text "gather and stitch."

The model is stitched on 36 count "Sea Salt" linen from Colour & Cotton using Weeks Dye Works, Classic Colorworks and DMC floss. Stitch count varies by model - the Stitching Squirrels tray is 90 wide x 83 high, the Gather And Stitch drum is 191 wide x 41 high, and the Acorn Basket needlebook is 71 wide x 71 high.
