Elis(z)a Mitchell is a reproduction pattern of an antique cross stitch. It was the featured project at the Stitch, Etc. Samplers Throughout Time Retreat in March of 2024. The antique has some embroidery on it that I re-designed into cross stitch. There is also some chain stitching that is very sweet but I also charted to cross stitch if you prefer.
This sampler with its simple style, random alphabet and information, has a soft color pallet and makes for a sweet cross stitch project. I hope you enjoy spending time with Elisa and her sampler.
History of the stitcher and a photo of her headstone is included with the pattern. In her history, her name is spelled both as Elisa or Eliza.
Pattern is stitched on 36 ct linen using Weeks Dye Works threads with DMC conversion (DMC 3045 may be replaced with DMC 3828). Stitch count is 130 x 187. Finished size is 7.22" x 10.39".
